Short version: almost everything you enter stays on your phone. The only things that ever leave it are described below, and only when the feature that needs them is actually in use.

What's stored on your device

By default, all of this lives only in local storage on your phone and is never sent anywhere:

• Your readings: the cards you drew, any question or notes you wrote, tags, bottom card and jumper cards if you use them
• Any custom spreads you build
• Your name, if you gave one
• Your tarot experience level and reminder preference
• Your relationship status and birthday, if you chose to add them. Month and day alone are enough for your sun sign; adding your birth year as well unlocks your Tarot Birth Card. Year is optional and always your choice to give
• Personal notes you've written on individual cards

None of this requires an account. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

What leaves your device, and when

Fig's AI features

Several features generate a written response for you rather than just showing a fixed meaning: Fig's Take, Fig's Daily Wisdom, Fig's Read on You, the Patterns synthesis, and your Tarot Birth Card's "what this says about you" reading. When you use one, the relevant content for that feature is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude models generate the response: for a reading, that's the cards drawn, their positions, your question and notes; for a pattern or birth-card reading, a summary of what's being interpreted; and (only for readings marked as being about yourself, never for someone else's) your relationship status or sun sign if you've provided them. It's used only to produce that one reply and isn't used to build a profile of you.

Subscriptions

Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google, not by us. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your subscription status, not your payment details.

Crash and error reporting

We use Sentry to catch crashes and errors so we can fix them. It receives technical diagnostics only — your device model, OS version, and what the app was doing when something broke — never your readings, notes, or anything else you've written in the app.

Custom cards and decks (subscribers only)

Adding your own cards or decks (an oracle deck you're practicing with, or a bonus card your tarot deck came with, photos included) is a subscriber feature on its own, not just its backup. Digitizing a deck is real effort, and this way it's never work you could lose to only living on one device.

Cloud backup (subscribers only)

Free use of the app never touches this. If you subscribe and choose to back up your data, you can create an account with an email and one-time code (no password), or by signing in with Apple or Google, in which case we receive the name and email your Apple or Google account provides. Either way, your readings, custom spreads, custom cards and decks (including any photo you've added to a card), and profile (including a photo, if you set one) then sync to a database and file storage we run on Supabase. It's private to your account. Nothing another user could see, even accidentally.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no tracking for marketing or ad-targeting purposes
• We don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes
• We don't build a profile of you beyond what's needed to run the feature you're using

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, they're scheduled locally on your phone. We don't know when your phone shows you a notification, and nothing about it is sent anywhere.

Deleting your data

Local data: uninstall the app. If you have an account, you can also delete it yourself at any time from Account > Danger zone, which permanently removes your account, your cloud backup, and everything on your device in one step. You can also email us and we'll do it for you. Either way, deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: that's handled separately by Apple or Google, since we never have access to it. Cancel it yourself from Manage Billing in the app, or your phone's subscription settings, before or after deleting your account, or you'll keep being charged.

Children

little witch isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We're a small operation; nothing here happens without a real reason.
